T-Mobile will officially launch its Starlink-powered satellite service on July 23, 2025, beginning with basic text messaging across Android and iOS devices. The service, called T‑Satellite, will be free for customers on the “Experience Beyond” plan or available as a $10 monthly add-on. By October 1, the service will expand to support satellite-based data for select apps like WhatsApp, Google Maps, and AccuWeather. The satellite network aims to cover over 500,000 square miles of previously unreachable areas in the U.S. T-Mobile says this marks the first direct-to-phone satellite service using regular smartphones without special hardware.
